Lewis is a broadcaster and videographer by trade. He is now completing his Ph.D. in digital media
journalism at The University of Texas at Austin. As a broadcaster, Lewis was the producer of the
6a.m. Edition of Good Morning Houston, senior photographer and line producer for Good Morning
Houston for 12 years. He left broadcasting to start a Houston based media company
that he operated
until moving to Hill Country.
During his time at GMH, Lewis met many of the world's top chefs and entertainment
experts. His love of food and entertainment was natural to him because he grew up
under the tutelage of his grandfather who was a restaurateur in NY city.
While at
GMH Lewis tapped into his familial past to produce many cooking segments and
learned all he could from the chefs and entertainment greats he worked with.
Like Caron, Lewis has traveled extensively. His travels include all 50 states, the
Caribbean, South America and northern Europe. While he has not enjoyed the
luxury experiences that Caron has, she is patiently teaching him the subtle
differences between quality travel and premiere travel.
Born in New York, Lewis moved to the shore a the age of 9. He first met
Caron in fourth grade. Caron first kissed Lewis at the eighth grade dance. Lewis
kissed Caron in their senior year of high school
and then he left for college as
she headed west for Los Angeles. They lost touch and did not meet again
until July 8, 2005 at their 30 year high school reunion. After the formal reunion
party, a group of classmates met up at one of their homes where Caron
and
Lewis talked until the early morning hours.
Lewis had been living in Texas since 1980 where he raised his two children and
built his business, so he was staying with his mom for the reunion weekend.
When he finally got back to his mom's that next morning, he told her that he fell in
love with a beautiful woman and was going to try to marry her. HE DID!
Caron left NJ, Lewis left Houston and they have been slowly, with great care
getting The Paintbrush Ranch ready for you.
